Before you begin
Before you can start using the DevMethod Tools you need to do some initial setup, the tool is depending on a Azure blob store for settings and data.
It is important that you do this before you start using the tools. The setup is later used in the DevMethod Tools application settings where the final configuration is done. Follow the instructions outlined below on how to set up the Azure blob store and initial configuration.
Code Merge
The Code Merge section of menus is where you analyze the state of our work items included in change sets before you create a Change Set Work List, it is also referred to as a Work List. The Change Set Work List is a chronological list of change sets to merge from one branch to another.
Release Notes
When you have created a release, this is where you create the type of release note that is suitable for your branching strategy and state in the project.
Templates
The templates control the content and layout of the different reports created by the application. Here you control the Follow Up lists, Delivery Notes and Release Note’s.
Settings
Here you control the application settings, the settings are stored in an Azure blob store and are shared between all users of the application. There are 2 types of settings manage here, the shared settings for the application, and the shared Visual Studio settings for the developers in the project.
