Logging into DevOps with the DevMethod Tools

To effectively utilize the DevMethod Tools, it's essential to log in to your DevOps organization. This process is safeguarded using a Personal Access Token (PAT) and involves a couple of key steps.

Standard Login Procedure:

1. Enter DevOps Organization URL:Start by entering the URL of your DevOps organization.
2. Enter PAT: Next, input your Personal Access Token (PAT). Each user must use their unique access token for logging in.
3. Login:Click on the ‘Login to DevOps’ button to proceed.
4. Select Project:After logging in, choose the specific project you wish to work on.

Setup Procedures:

There are two distinct setup scenarios:

• Initial Project Setup:
  • If you're responsible for the initial setup of your project in DevMethod Tools, click the ‘Confirm and continue setup’ button. This action initiates the process of configuring all necessary details in your project.
• Team Member Setup:
  • If you are a team member setting up your instance of the DevMethod tools after the initial project setup, select the ‘Import setup from file’ button.
  • This setup file should be provided by your project manager. It contains the pre-configured settings and parameters necessary for your specific project environment.

Note: It's crucial that each team member follows these steps carefully to ensure a smooth integration with the DevOps environment and to maintain consistent configurations across the team.
